Make My Move
03:25
|
|

You won't see me coming
You won't have a clue
You won't suspect nothing
Until I get the drop on you
And I won't make a sound
I won't tip my hand
I won't give any warning
I won't give up on this plan
Until I make my move
I'm gonna make my move
When I make my move on you
You're gonna see what I can do
You can't stop what's coming
You can't change your fate
You may think you're one step ahead, but darlin'
You'll find you're far too late
And I won't make a sound
I won't tip my hand
I won't give any warning
I won't give up on this plan
Until I make my move
I'm gonna make my move
When I make my move on you
You're gonna see what I can do

Little Boy
03:11

Turning the corner, and what does he see?
A world full of wonder and all his dreams,
And that little boy stands up on his feet.
Daring the challenge and braving the fall
He runs on the ground on which he used to crawl,
And that little boy looks so much like me.
What did he think he would grow to believe?
Would he conquer the world, and learn how to see?
Would he grow to be better than anyone thought he could be?
And the the little boy learned how to write and to read;
It seemed he was just two, but now he's seventeen.
And that little boy's constantly falling down onto his knees,
And that little boy still looks just like me.
He grabs up his keys and he heads out the door,
He wants to places he hasn't before,
And that little boy walks away from me.
Where would he go and what things would he see?
And will he hang onto his childhood dreams?
Would he grow to be better than I ever hoped he could be?
And the little boy grew until I watched him leave.
He was just seventeen, but now he's forty-three,
And that little boy's still always falling down onto his knees,
And that little boy still looks just like me.
And the little boy asks me if I still believe.
His eyes are so big as he looks up at me,
And I choke as I find myself falling down onto my knees.
'Cause the little boy's gone, and all that's left now is me.
I wonder if I ever helped him to see
A world full of wonder and all of his dreams,
A world he could conquer, and always be free
To look in the mirror and like what he sees?
And that little boy still looks just like me.

Postgoodism Los Angeles, California
The Postgoodism Movement was founded by Cort Stratton, who works by day as a graphics programmer at a video game studio in Los Angeles that you've totally heard of. It seeks to challenge the traditionally prevalent notion that works of art should have redeeming qualities such as social relevance, deeper meaning, innovative craftsmanship, or beauty. ... more
